A family is a unit composed not only of children but of men, women, an occasional animal, and the common cold. ~Ogden Nash
I like this quote! It makes me smile because it’s so true! In my family growing up it really was the occasional animal because after a while Simon (my little brother) would forget to feed the rabbit and rabbit would get sick and die, which then brought on other rabbits! We now in our ‘grown up’ house, have our two curious guinea pigs, which I had to talk el Tomo into getting and he now loves as much as me!
Very creatively named Black and Ginger Pig, or BP and GP if your a good friend!
But there really is nothing better than your family. The older I get the more and more I love them. They become your friends, and your very best ones! One of the plus points of getting married is you get another family too! el Tomo’s family live in Norwich, which takes forrreeevvveer to get to down long and dark and windy roads, but it’s like the light at the end of the tunnel. When you get there it makes it all worthwhile!
They’re fab, and we love going to see them and all the adventures it brings. Which usually includes a trip to the famous Waffle House, you have to go if you visit!
Tom’s mum cooks the BEST food which one day I aspire to equal! And his dad has the most interesting old books and stories about people and places! So I’m right at home, with some good food, a good book and wondrous people!
So I felt our adventures with them both here and there deserved a post, and a fair few photos!
Enjoy!
