It’s been 3 years.
3 years since this. Click.
They say 3 is the magic number. I’d agree with that.
Years one and two were superb.
In one we worked hard, I finished my degree, Tom’s business took off, things were good.
In two we worked harder, I got a “proper” teaching job, Tom’s business did awesome, things were better.
In three, worked SO hard, we had a family. A beautiful, chubby baby filled us with love. Things were awesome.
Three has been the magic number for us. We’ve been married for three beautiful years.
I love being married. I’m a believer in marriage.
All good things come in pairs. Socks, slippers, gloves, kidneys…
I believe people come in pairs too. I come with a Tom. Becky & Tom. We’re a team. We work well together. When I’m tired and go to bed, Tom locks the doors, takes the bins out, brings up a bottle. He sorts our little family in the ungodly hours. I do my turn in the mornings. We’re a pair you see.
So this week we celebrated a milestone, we’ve been a team for three wonderful years. They’ve gone by fast, but we’ve cherished them and throughly enjoyed them. This year it wasn’t quite the Anniversary we’d planned, we spent four hours sat in traffic on the M62 – great. But we managed a nice lunch and a pram, baby, baby bag free Costa. Costa gave me a free gift too, brain freeze!
Here’s to seeing what 4 has in store for us.
4 is my favourite number.
Favourite trumps magic.
Happy 3rd Anniversary.

Congrats! You make a great couple. I just recently discovered your blog and I actually knew Tom in Leeds when we were both in uni. I *think* he was studying music then. You have a lovely blog, been enjoying reading. Love your perspective. Tell Tom I say hi (my name was Rhiannon Lawrance then!) so glad his photography has taken off. And have a great fourth year!
