Ar-Family: Me & Mine – February

Hello again.

How are we at the end of February already?

With the end of February comes post 2 of the Family Portrait project! Hooray!

I know this is the shortest month of the year but it’s seemed nearly impossible to get a picture of all 3 of us this month. We’ve been dealing with a broken boiler leaking through the kitchen roof, juggling everyone’s work schedules which seem increasingly hectic, teething child, having house guests and we’ve also had a death in the family. It’s all been very stressful and we haven’t found the perfect moment to get our family picture, until last night.

I got home from work while it was still light and we all rushed out into the garden. Holly has fallen in love with being outdoors this month. As soon as we start putting our shoes on she gets so excited! So the garden was the perfect place for this months shot. I’m looking forward to spring & summer when the weather gets a little warmer and we can get outside more! This months shot was really good fun. We rolled around on the grass and tried to persuade Holly to look at the camera dangling from one of our windows… we’re a dangerous bunch! (Tom’s idea, not mine!) It was a lovely way to end the working day and I LOVE this months shot. Tom looks fandabydosy:)

Continuing the blog hop, this month I’m sending you over to Charlotte over at The Crumby Mummy. Her post this month is lovely, click to go have a nosey. We’re all sending you on to someone different, so keep following the loop. BIG congratulations to Katie who has had a beautiful new addition this month!

Don’t forget to get involved and add your linky below.

Have a Happy March:)

Me and Mine – A Family Portrait Project is about encouraging us all to take more family pictures. It’s easy to get a nice shot of two or three of the family. But how few family pictures do we actually have taken?

This year seven of us bloggers have taken the challenge to take one family portrait a month for 12 months. Maybe you should take the challenge too and start documenting your families changes?

You dangled a camera out of a window?! You are crazy!
But fantastic results!
I find it funny that you and Holly are wrapped up warm and Tom just has a tshirt on.
Sorry you’ve had a stressful month and sorry for your loss x

Sorry to hear of your loss and thanks for the congratulations. I love that you lived on the edge to take your photo this month and the results are great! You wouldn’t catch me doing that with my camera! Jealous of your hubby’s new canon, I would love one but I suppose he is a professional so he does deserve it! ;)
Although I am a nikon girl! xx

This photo is so fun. I love how you and Holly look so composed and Tom looks like he’s being all crazy.
Sorry to hear you’ve had a crazy month and a loss in the family. Hopefully March can be a better month for you. X

Did you hang a Mark 3 from a window? Living on the EDGE! I love the angle (and I love your coat!)

They are brilliant photos, such a good idea but I’m not sure I’d be brave enough to dangle the camera. That iphone is now Holly’s you know :) Z regularly steals mine and it always looks a bit sticky. I think you should adopt my way of thinking and don’t iron anything….and then persuade your OH to iron in exchange of a brew :).

Thanks Ladies! First of all, I’m not pregnant! haha! that was an error. And secondly, it was on a tripod… so it wasn’t quite dangling on a string ;)
