Ar-Family: Me & Mine – April

We’re a quarter of the way through the year.

Already?

How is that possible?

April has been a busy, busy month for us.

It saw my return to work, Tom fully launching us into wedding season and Holly starting nursery. That’s brought a lot of changes to our little family. There have been new routines to get used to and it’s been a new experience for us all.

Despite all the change I have really enjoyed this month. It’s been so rewarding going back to work. I’ve remembered just how much I love teaching a class again. It’s been great getting out of the house more and I’m managing to push my mummy guilt to the back of my mind.

Holly is doing really well at nursery. She already has a boyfriend – apparently! But shh… don’t tell Tom! Her speech is coming along so well and she seems to learn something new every day. I’m really enjoying this stage in her development and am trying not to wish it away as we get towards her 2nd birthday.

Tom is busy, busy. This time of year is full of weddings as he jets all over the country capturing other couple’s special moments. He’s so good at what he does and I love how excited he is when he gets home from a great wedding. But we both miss our daddy filled weekends.

Our picture this month was actually taken by someone else! Shocking I know! We went to an amazing event called Little Fun Fest where the photographer snapped this for us. A family picture that we didn’t take is a rare thing indeed.

The only thing that could make things better at the minute is some more sunshine! Com on British weather!

Here’s looking forward to a busy, bank holiday filled May!

This month I’m sending you on to look at Lucy’s beautiful family and her portrait for April. This whole Me & Mine Project is her brain child and I have to say I’m really enjoying it so far. It’s pushing us to capture our family growing up. Hop over and have a look at her blog and her two gorgeous little ones.

I love that you do a family photo, plus individual photos each month, I think you possibly need a gold star for being an overachiever!
I’m glad its all going well with you being back at work and with Holly at nursery.
I feel the same about this project, I’m so glad its making us record our family as the children grow up (and we grow old!) x

It’s funny because I follow your blog you can almost tell that you didn’t take that photo! Not in a bad why just that it’s different! How tall is Holly now?! She looks like such a lovely happy girl xx

Love that Holly already has a boyfriend! :0) Glad things are going well and you’re enjoying work. I was part way through my PGCE when I found out that I was pregnant. You’re making me wonder if I should finish it. Lovely family photo! The individual ones are fab too! x

That’s a fab family photo. I love the ‘country’ style of it.
I agree with Lucy (Dear Beautiful) about you doing the individual photos every month too.
I’m jealous of your garden hammock! x

Your about us bits each month are funny! And I love the individual pictures too! And sometimes it is nice not having to think about lugging a tripod about and to just let someone take one for you! x
