6. Don’t Worry About Going Round in Circles

Get up.

Change Toddler’s Nappy.

Get Toddler’s breakfast.

Have Breakfast.

Shower.

Go to Work.

Mark 100′s of books.

Drive to nursery.

Pick up from nursery.

Make dinner.

Eat dinner.

Bath Toddler.

Put Toddler to bed.

Tidy Home.

Crash and sleep.

Then comes another day and I do the whole thing all over again. Another day. Until Wednesday when I swap work for Holly time! Which is one of the wonderful advantages of working part time.
Some days it feels like I’m going round in circles. I do a lot of the same things again and again and it feels like I’m going round in circles because… well I am!

Even when it feels like it’s the same thing over and over again, I’m learning to remember that I am still making progress and that he normal days are beautiful. All the routines are days that I’m helping to raise my child.

One day the changing of nappies, the making of breakfast, the nursery pick ups and the bath time will be gone. My toddler will become a teenager and times will change. I’m remembering to embrace the normal days, the normal routines and the beautiful simplicity of motherhood.

Lesson Learned? Don’t worry about going round in circles.
