This months Me & Mine is a little late.
Things have been busy, and busy, and busier and then the Ofsted phone call came at school yesterday. Which is like hell for teachers. The fear and stress it strikes into the heart is insane. So this post is a day overdue. You’ll have to forgive me, please?
This month has been superb. Mostly because we had this incredible trip to Center Parcs that we just loved. It was such fun to spend family time together before a busy April. We really try to make the most of this time of year before Tom gets crazy busy with the summer weddings. So a break including lots of swimming, bike riding and chill time was great.
Although breaks for our family don’t stop there. April will see me & Tom travel to Rome with our good friends Richard & Natalie for both of our 5th anniversaries. Without Holly. We’re leaving her with Grandma Big Hair (thanks mum) for three days! I’m so so excited but a little nervous about travelling so far away without her.
Then in the easter holidays – if Holly’s passport comes back in time – Holly & I are going to France for four days with my parents. By the end of April we’ll be well travelled hopefully.
This months picture was taken as we’d just packed up or lodge ready to check out on our last day at CP. We were heading to the pool and Holly was SO excited.
She’s at a beautiful age. Her speech has come on so quickly. She’s started singing and telling stories, she’s so animated and becoming a little bossy. She isn’t scared to tell us what she thinks, and this month has been dotted with a few more trips to the naughty step.
Tom has been busy building websites this month.
And me? I? I think I’ve been guilty of burning the candle at both ends this month. I’ve been moving my bedtime from 12, to 1am and 2am… so it’s going to have to start creeping back this side of midnight. I’ve been really enjoying work and running and planning future projects.
We really can’t complain. Life is good to us. We’re happy and healthy and when I eventually go to the supermarket we might even have food in the fridge.
Here’s to a chocolate filled April!
